Based at the Wairarapa / Manawatu District we currently have one part-time permanent part-time vacanciy for the Masterton Community Work Centre. The successful candidate must be available to work on weekends.
Community Work Supervisors have oversight of work parties with up to 8 people in our care that are subject to a sentence of Community Work.
The type of Community Work undertaken in our communities may include meaningful projects such as (but not limited to):
- Groundwork and maintenance for Marae, churches, schools, and other non-profitable organisations.
- Working with local council and community groups, with work needed on cleaning beaches, bushwalk tracks, community parks and community gardens,
- Working with projects that include planting native trees supporting the work of the Department of Conservation

A full NZ drivers licence including the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential. Please note you will need to complete a criminal history check and undertake a pre-employment drug test.
