The Team
Our Developmental Paediatric Medicine multidisciplinary team is based at Christchurch Hospital and works closely with allied health, early intervention and other community providers. The developmental paediatricians work alongside general paediatricians and a variety of subspecialists including paediatric neurology, in providing services to children with developmental difficulties.
Christchurch Hospital is a teaching hospital with students from the University of Otago, Christchurch; hence the Paediatric Department has an active teaching programme both at undergraduate and post graduate level.
The Role
Child Health at Christchurch Hospital is looking for a part-time fixed term parental leave (0.8FTE) Developmental Paediatrician to join a dedicated team of Paediatricians committed to providing an excellent service to the 110,000 children and young people within the Canterbury and West Coast regions.
You will be required to provide high quality, evidence based and holistic Developmental and General Paediatric specialist medical care to patients of the Child Health Service.
To be considered for this role you will need to be eligible to gain registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
