Would you like to work at a world renowned resort in spectacular Canterbury located an hours drive from Christchurch? Our client is kiwi owned and operated and looking for passionate, talented hospitality professionals to join their team.
The role
This is a full time position on a rotating roster where at least one weekend day will be included. As a Housekeeping Supervisor you’ll be responsible for supervising all housekeeping staff and ensuring proper completion of their duties. You’ll work alongside the Housekeeping Manager to direct and co-ordinate staff and ensure the professional and cost effective running of the department. You’ll be a team leader and as such may be involved in appraising staff performance, briefing and debriefing staff and assisting in the recruitment process.
Who are you?
You’ll have experience in a housekeeping position within a hotel, preferably more than 3 years with at least 1 year of management and people leadership under your belt. You’ll be dedicated and a bit of a perfectionist as this resort requires the best! Being well presented and proud to be in your uniform go without saying and your communication and interpersonal skills will be 2nd to none. You’ll need to have the ability to solve problems, think on your feet and take initiative and make decisions when required. Time management is of the utmost importance to you. A strong desire to further your career will make you stand out from the crowd!
