Industrial Cleaner – Waitoa

Building Service Contractors of NZ (BSCNZ) is the trade association for the NZ Cleaning industry – we represent many employers who require the services of Commercial Cleaners throughout NZ.
You will be employed directly by one of our Members who will provide you with an Employment Agreement, uniform, and any required PPE.  
For this position previous Commercial Cleaning experience is preferred but not essential and buffing experience would be a real advantage.  As this site is a food manufacturer there are strict food and hygiene standards you must adhere to 100% every shift without fail.

The Shift Details:

• Monday – Friday
• 5.00 am- 1.00 pm
• 35 hours per week
• You must be available for every shift.

 
 
You maybe required to work 1 Saturday per month on a roster basis for 3-4 hours. However this is negotiable
 
 
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Position requires the cleaning of internal and external areas of this site to meet Fonterra’s strict Food Hygiene and Food Safety Standards. Areas include, but are not limited to Maintenance, Outside yards and Energy Centre, Toilets, Offices, Laboratory and Cafeteria.
Opportunity for travel to other Dairy Company sites (e.g., Fonterra, Synlait & Danone) in both the North and South Islands during the Dairy Winter Off-Season (approximately April – September) undertaking Dairy Plant internal cleaning projects
WHAT DO I NEED?

• Full drivers’ licence
• Own reliable transport
• Reliability and motivation to want to do a great job every time for this client.
• Experienced Cleaner preferred, but not essential.
• You must have an eye for detail and be able to adhere to strict food and hygiene standards daily
• Be fit and healthy – as Cleaning is a manual job and is hard work!
• Moderate lifting is involved in this role.
• Experience operating a buffer machine would be a major advantage
• Be available for every shift.
• You must be able to speak and understand English to a good level, as all H&S and instructions are in English only.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19
