About the role
The Police Infringement Bureau (PIB) as part of the National Road Policing Centre (NRPC) contributes to the trust and confidence in Police through the professional handling of a range of infringement services.
The Information Officer is a crucial part of the Police Infringement Bureau as you will be responsible for the coordination and development of information responses to a wide variety of internal and external requests, ensuring compliance with internal and statutory standards, OIA and parliamentary requirement processes.
A working knowledge of policy and/or the ability to interpret and understand legislation would be an advantage. The successful applicant will have excellent organisational skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills. They will bring a can-do attitude, an attention to detail, and a proven ability to work to deadlines.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contribute to managing the flow of official correspondence and other information between the NRPC, Parliament (especially the Office of the Minister of Police), Police Districts, and members of the public.
- Maintain systems for the up-to-date recording and monitoring of official correspondence and other information.
- Research and assess information from a variety of internal and external sources.
- Assemble and present information logically.
- Support other business areas within the Police Infringement Bureau, when required
