Seeking male assistants to help in a welcoming family home with physical rehab of a male student recovering from a serious injury.
About the role:
You will be working with a nurse or doctor and part of a team of 10 students. The job includes assisting with stretches, exercises, walking & working with physiotherapists to help with gym work, occupational therapists & speech language therapists.
You will be going out to various fun activities including the gym, taking the dog to the beach/park, attending music events, sailing etc. Some assistance with computer use, facilitating university work etc may be required. The work also includes tidying the room and cleaning any areas that have been used.
Shifts are in 4-8 hour shifts from Mondays-Sundays either morning, afternoon or overnight. Hourly rate is $37 – $57, with holiday and travel pay.
About You:
A background or training in any of the following: medicine, paramedicine, biomed, physiotherapy, health, strength & conditioning would be ideal but not essential.
It is essential you are enthusiastic, patient and reliable. Applicants need to be vaccinated & show vaccine pass.
About the Client:
He has a good sense of humour and is interested in sailing, the gym, music, basketball, science, maths, computers, and languages. He also has a very friendly border collie, so you need to be ok interacting with a dog.
