If you want to be part of an organisation that is committed to whānau transformation through education in Heretaunga, then this may be the positionfor you. We invite applications from passionate and energetic individuals toassist in the delivery of our Te Reo Māori programmes.
The role of a Kaiāwhina is to assist Kaiako in delivering our Te Reo Māori programme in a proactive, supportive whānau based environment. This role also assists the Kaiako in preparing resources and classrooms and virtual online learning, monitoring student attendance, general administration task and student recruitment.
Applicants will hold a Mātauranga Maori qualification and be able to converse in Te Reo Māori and must have a thorough knowledge of Tikanga Māori. At least one years’ experience in a similar role. A full drivers licence is also required.
The ideal applicant will be available to work evenings some days and weekends.
Te Wānanga o Aotearoa requires all kaimahi, contractors, manuhiri and tauira to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (or a valid medical exemption) therefore, we can only consider applications from people who are vaccinated.
