Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

We invite applications for a confident and professional Recruitment Advisor to join the in-house Recruitment Team at the University of Canterbury. In this fast-paced role, you will guide Hiring Managers across the University through end-to-end recruitment. You will ensure the attraction of high calibre applicants and design selection processes to ensure UC employs the best candidate for each role. You will identify and upskill the recruitment and selection capability of our Hiring Managers and Administrators, including induction, coaching and support on recruitment procedures and systems in order to empower them to lead their own recruitment processes. You will be focused on candidate care and enhancing the UC employer brand by providing timely and courteous communications to candidates throughout the recruitment process. You will also contribute to continuous improvement projects and initiatives within the Recruitment Team.


Mōu | Who You Are

To successfully fulfil this attractive role, you will have significant experience working in recruitment in an in-house or agency environment. You will have expertise in sourcing and placing passive candidates through networks and a proven ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships. Having knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation pertaining to recruitment and selection is essential. You will have exceptional communication skills, including the ability to train, coach and advise a wide range of staff across the University. Experience with Application Tracking Software, particularly Snaphire, would be a strong advantage. Candidates with experience administering Psychometric Assessments would also be highly regarded.
