Our libraries teams work hard to create access and inspire discovery for all through our collections, programmes and services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focussed and highly collaborative library professional to join our team to share their love of recreational reading for adults with a focus on Fiction.

The role involves:

  • Sharing and supporting the team and network to deliver programming and initiatives to promote and increase access and engagement with our collections.
  • Contributing to the team to create a welcoming, professional and positive library experience for our customers.
  • Using your library experience, knowledge and qualification you will also guide the team to maintain and manage our collections and remain current by exploring trends to inform our practice.

Auahatanga|Creativity , the fourth floor of Tūranga, is the home to our Fiction, World Languages, Large Print, Biographies, Graphic Novels, and Music collections. We also house our Creative Spaces and technologies such as 3D printers, a laser cutter, sewing machines and more. You will be based in this team, and work across the network and wider Tūranga as one of our specialist librarians.

Additional Recruitment Information:

Salary: $25.93 – $28.41 per hour
Hours of Work: Permanent Part Time 30 hours per week
