This position is part-time with hours of between 16 – 24 per week; Monday and Thursday as well as one other day which can be worked flexibly. Availability for early start times and occasional out of town overnight trips and some regional travel from time to time is required.
About you
We would love to hear you if you have:
- Passion, energy and a strong interest in health promotion and workplace health and safety
- A current annual practicing certificate
- Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
- A high level of integrity, honesty and professionalism
- A commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Competence in computer literacy, including the Microsoft suite of programmes
- Confidence and ability to work autonomously with a demonstrated ability to problem solve.
A post graduate qualification in occupational health or a related field is beneficial, however not an initial necessity.

Established in 2015 OccHealth South provides occupational health services to workplaces in Invercargill and the Southern region. As registered nurses we use our clinical judgement, professional knowledge and high standard of practice to provide professional occupational health services to the working population.
We provide the following services to our wide range of clients:
- Pre-employment health assessments
- Health monitoring (hearing testing, lung function testing, vision screening, musculoskeletal screening, cardiovascular risk assessments)
- Post-employment health assessments
- Health promotion including education on injury and illness prevention
- Seasonal influenza vaccinations
- We also have a relationship with other local providers to provide drug and alcohol testing
