Building Service Contractors of NZ (BSCNZ) is the trade association for the NZ Cleaning industry – we represent many employers who require the services of Commercial Cleaners and associated throughout NZ.
You will be employed directly by one of our Members who will provide you with an employment agreement, uniform, and any required PPE.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced payroll specialist who is keen and comfortable to run payroll systems to accurately pay the teams on time, every time. Our staff work 24/7 across 100’s of sites on the North Island, including on Public Holidays, and varied rosters, so you need to be very familiar with the Holidays Act, or a fast learner. You will love the accountability of owning the payroll function and dealing across all levels in the organisation.
This role based at our Head Office in Petone, Wellington, will also handle several other administrative duties—making your days varied and interesting.
On offer is a full-time role in a small, friendly, work environment; a competitive market-based pay rate and you get your birthday off.
SHIFT DETAILS:
- Monday – Friday
- 8.30 am – 5.00 pm
- 40 hours per week
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
- Processing pay role
- Administration
- Maintaining HR Files
- Staying up to date with legislative changes
- Basic accountancy functions
- Problem solving
IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE
- At least 3-5 years in a similar role
- Solid experience using Payroll Systems
- Sound understanding of the complexity of the Holidays Act
- Advanced level MS Office, particularly Excel
- Experience in maintaining employee information and confidentiality
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- A great sense of humour will go a long way too
