Our client is a locally owned and operated essential service located within 5km of Wellington’s CBD. They’re famous for their extensive product range and outstanding staff who provide all shoppers outstanding customer service day in and day out.
What’s the job?
This is a FRESH new role for a Produce Assistant Manager (2IC) in a full-time frontline customer service role. The hours vary but opening hours are 7am 10pm and will work on a Tuesday Saturday or Sunday Thursday roster. Assistant Manager roles start at $22.50 per hour with plenty of room for growth. Reporting to the Produce Manager your primary responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to
•Assisting the Produce Manager in maximising sales
•Achieving specified profit margins whilst managing expenses & stock levels
•Ensuring all produce is attractively presented at all times
•Assisting in loading and unloading trucks
•Supervising the Produce team and ensuring all shoppers have a great experience
Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate will be physically fit as this role does require some lifting, have a great command of both written and verbal English and good basic maths skills. Experience within a supermarket or in food service is essential for this role, ideally at a supervisory level. You’ll be pro-active, reliable and have a strong work ethic and be flexible with your availability. You’ll have a strong people focus (both customers and staff) and have consistently high standards across the board.
