TIL is busy contractor has been providing Infrastructure, Civil Engineer and Construction Solutions for over 20 years.
In the Five three years, we have expanded in Civil and Construction market, and therefore doubling their capacity.
They now require an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their experienced team in Auckland, who has the understanding and the ability to accurately interpret client tender documentation
The Role: Working within the commercial team, your will be responsible for managing the pricing of projects in civil and construction. Some of your key duties will include:
- You will be involved in tendering, pricing, and estimation
- Cost tracking and cost control
- Budget monitoring and forecasting
- Progress claims and variations
- Stake-holder liaison
- Contract administration
- Computer literacy
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong work ethic
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to concentrate and focus on the task in hand
To be successful: The ideal candidate will have previous experience in civil and construction, however other industry sectors will be considered too. You will also have the following skills
- Ideally 3-5 years of experience
- Strong Communication and written skills
- Ability to read plans and establish variations
- Proven experience in Quantity Surveying and Estimation
- Be well organized and have strong planning skills
- Be computer savvy and have experience with various cost software’s
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Be commercially aware and have strong financial acumen
- You will need to be a New Zealand Resident, or currently living and eligible to work in New Zealand to be considered.
