Our highly motivated and supportive team in Ward 7c is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join them on a fixed-term, part-time basis to cover a period of parental leave.
About the Team/Service
Ward 7c is a 16 bed Cardiology / Renal ward accepting Acute and Chronic Cardiology patients, and Acute and Chronic Haemodialysis / Peritoneal Dialysis patients from Waitaki to the Bluff. The ward works closely with the Renal and the Coronary Care Unit, it also has a 6 bed Day Unit attached which accepts both Renal Cardiology Respiratory patients for elective procedures.
About the Role – what’s in it for me?
To be successful you will have the proven ability to work in a high output area, be highly organised and have a systematic approach to your work. You must be a team player comfortable with working alongside all members of the multidisciplinary team, able to use your initiative with ease and have the ability and confidence to practice both autonomously and collaboratively without direct supervision. You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to quality processes; and to best practice.
We’re looking for a nurse who is experienced and organised, friendly and calm, able to work independently and at the same time genuinely interested in the best outcome for both patient and team. A comprehensive orientation will also be given.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
- Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
- Previous experience in an acute setting would be an advantage
