We are looking to hire a Retail Supervisor to join our team at Gold Coin Variety Store, New Plymouth.
Position Title: Retail Supervisor or Retail Assistant
Place of Work: Center City Shopping Centre, 11 Gill Street, New Plymouth, 4310.
Trades & Services: Retail industry
Location: New Plymouth, New Zealand
Hours of Work: Minimum 20 to 35 hours per week.
Salary Wages: $ 21.20-$23per hour.
Other Employment Conditions: PermanentPart-Time/Full-Time role
Reporting to: Owner or Assistant Store Manager
- Supervises store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant store Manager .
- Store is presented in an appealing manner at all times and eye catching displays are built & maintained thereby encouraging customers to make purchases
- Handling all customer enquiries and using their product knowledge / customer service skills to make sales / encourage repeat business and ensuring stock is rotated appropriately.
- Make sure that high standards of customer service,quality assurance, cleanliness and hygiene, and performance are maintained.
- Performs general cleaning maintenance
- Performs cashier duties, including operating cash register/point-of-sales (POS) system.
- Monitors ongoing inventory and performs cycle counts. Inspects and verifies incoming stock if the managers are not available
- Prepares the store for opening and closing, including operating the alarm system.
- Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned
We are looking for someone who:
- Is available to work full time including weekends and on roster basis shift work
- Is an excellent communicator and provides clear direction and support to all team members?
- Has the drive and motivation to meet and achieve sales targets
- Loves to engage and built relationships with customers – always putting the customer first
- Can work under pressure in a fast paced environment and is an excellent team player.
- Who is willing to commit long term.
