We seek Scaffolders. The ideal candidates must have relevant one year’s work experience in construction industry at a similar role, plus “can-do” attitude.
This job role is responsible for assembling, erecting, positioning and securing scaffolding and steel structures according to customer needs.
Scaffolders are required to:
- Talk with clients and discuss their needs and requirements;
- Calculate scaffold loadings and decide what scaffolding platform to build;
- Check worksites for hazards;
- Unload scaffolding from trucks;
- Fit steel tubes and support braces together to form the scaffolding framework; l Lay wooden boards (sole plates) on the ground to spread the weight of the
- scaffolding;
- Fasten ladders and guard rails to scaffolding; l Take down scaffolding and load it onto trucks; l Check and maintain scaffolding equipment;
- Regularly inspect erected scaffolding for safety.
Other requirements:
- Able to work independently
- Be efficient, reliable and punctual
- Good time management skills
- Able to cooperate with the team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Able to work on weekends
- Travel anywhere within Auckland
