We seek Carpenters. The ideal candidates must have relevant three years’ work experience in construction industry at a similar role. Relevant registration is expected in this role.
This job role is responsible for constructing, erecting, shaping, fitting, installing, renovating, and repairing wood structures, fittings and fixtures in residential/commercial construction builds.
Carpenters are required to:
- Study building plans and drawings to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures
- Plan ordering and select timbers and materials, and prepare layouts
- Measure and cut materials to the right size and shape
- Assemble and nail the prepared wood parts to form structures and fittings
- Erect and install wall, roof, staircases and window framing and boards
- Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
- Construct building frames and install cladding on the inside and outside of buildings
- Remove and repair existing fittings
Other requirements:
- Able to work independently
- Be efficient, reliable and punctual
- Good time management skills
- Able to cooperate with the team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Able to work on weekends
- Travel anywhere within Auckland
