Our large Health Services client, based in Freemans Bay, is working to support the Governments COVID Response.
This 24/ 7 Support Service is handled by a very large, remote workforce, of front-line workers, that are trained across multiple Covid Services, including Covid Welfare, Contact Tracing and Vaccination Services.
With the current COVID/ Vaccination environment, they are seriously busy and so are seeking a Senior People & Capability Advisor, to join their P&C team and support the Covid Response Head Office operation.
This role will focus on day-to-day HR and ER support. We need someone to be experienced and confident in these processes to hit the ground running. The environment is busy and fast paced, so if you get frazzled easily and prefer a more relaxed pace… then maybe give this one a miss.

This will be a mix of work from home and in the office (around 2 days in office in Freemans Bay) .
The Role:
- Investigate and manage ER queries & issues, escalating through appropriate pathways
- Work closely with management to identify performance issues, implement appropriate PIP processes
- Provide high level HR support, coaching & advice to managers
- Coach and mentor to assist in developing line manager capability
- Work to support and facilitate Change projects
- Work collaboratively with leadership, providing input to key initiatives & day to day HR operations
- Assist in the scoping of new positions, including sizing / banding, job descriptions
- Assist managers in change processes, advise and support
- Contributing to the development, implementation of policies
About You:
- Degree in HR / People and Capability
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR / P&C Advisory. Ideally more experience
- Solid experience advising on ER issues and providing accurate legal advice; and invoking escalation pathways
- Strong working knowledge, and practical application of employment and all associated legislation, HR systems, processes, trends, and best practices
- Employee management / mentoring experience
- Able to work beyond 9am – 5pm if and when needed
