Located in the heart of Auckland CBD’s business district, Hugo’s Bistro offers true all-day dining, from early morning coffee and inspired lunch service, through to afternoon Aperitivo with friends and sophisticated, European-inspired evening fare. Beautiful ingredients are simply but thoughtfully prepared over our open charcoal fire, with a lighter style of classical cooking made with exceptional New Zealand produce. Strong focus on personal & professional service.
The role will consist of evening shifts Tuesday to Friday (approx 5-11pm.) Closed weekends and public holidays . We have 2 positions available and flexibility depending on how many evenings you would prefer to work (2 to 4 shifts.) We are also open for breakfast and lunch so there is the possibility of more hours if required. We always do our best to be flexible around uni schedules and requested time off.
We are only open for evenings Tuesday to Friday – please let us know if there are any evenings you are unable to work.
Tasks involve:
- Waiting tables
- Taking orders
- Ability to make food and wine suggestions and upsell
- Delivering food and drink
- Other duties as required
In order to be considered for this role you must possess the following:
- A positive and charming attitude
- The ability to carry up to three plates at a time
- A great understanding of customer service
- The ability to work in a closely knit team
- Basic food and wine knowledge, however training will be provided.
We are a small team and often work with 2-3 front of house per night so experience in a similar role is essential. It would be a definite advantage to your application if you have basic Wine knowledge. Please do not apply if you do not have previous waiting experience.
Rate of pay is negotiable based on experience. Daily staff meals, coffees and great staff discounts across our two venues.
