About the role:

This is an opportunity to work and learn as part of a team responsible for building and maintaining New Zealand’s telecommunication fibre/copper/cellular networks. You could be installing high tech equipment into new roadside cabinets and spicing fibre, fault finding on cellular towers, setting up and testing new connections, installing and maintaining WiFi access points in commercial buildings and shopping malls, installing and maintaining complex and critical digital switching equipment, and more……

About you:

With a genuine interest in the telecommunications industry and working with current and new technology you’ll also be someone who likes to find out how things work for yourself as well as learning from your mentors and formal training courses. In addition you’ll like to be hands on, happy to work both in and outdoors, comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces and have the flexibility to travel when required and willing to work overtime.

To qualify it is essential you have:

• NZ Citizen or Permanent Residency
• A full driver’s licence
• Ideally NCEA L2 Maths and English
• Have a safety first mindset

To make the most of this opportunity you’ll demonstrate an ability to work on your own with great time keeping skills and be a confident communicator who is comfortable interacting with team members, supervisors, subcontractors and the general public.
