Ok, so, we’re looking for someone who knows their way around SAP SCM/Logistics modules…someone who is either an experienced Software Test Analyst or a SAP SCM Super User who wishes to become a Test Analyst.
This role is all about ensuring that the applications that our consulting teams build for our Clients actually DO what they are supposed to. We have a specialist team of test analysts who come from various functgional process backgrounds (eg Finance, HR, Supply Chain) and they use their knowledge of processes to determine any weaknesses or limitations in the system: if I do X then that will lead to Y, so how come it hasn’t? Maybe the system works fine when only a small handful of people are using it, but what happens when 100 people use it, or a 1000? What happens if we change one feature, does it still keep working, or does it throw a tantrum?
Testing as a career tends to attract people who like to think logically, but who can also think laterally to consider alternatives or other ways of doing things. People who appreciate detail and quality and who are used to working systematically, as well as quickly.
This is a role for someone with energy and curiosity and who is willing and able to travel to client premises (possibly outside of their home city) when needed. This is not something you will be doing all the time – but, because our clients could be based anywhere in NZ, there are times that working onsite with them adds enormous value. You will be engaging with the business directly and whilst you certainly don’t have to be an extrovert, we are looking for someone who does not shy away from being outside their comfort zone and can build relationships with people they have just met.
