The Role
Macquarie University has embarked on an exciting program of work to transform our operations and service delivery models under the Operating Plan 2020–2024, ensuring greater efficiency, sharper focus on purpose and student experience, and increased agility in our operational services.
We seek an experienced Timetabling Support Coordinator to provide timetabling support and contribute to the development and implementation of systems and procedures for timetabling functions within the Faculty of Medicine Health and Human Sciences as we move to our new professional services operating model.
Reporting to the Educational Services Delivery Manager and working in collaboration with the Faculty Educational Services team and University Shared Services team, this role will provide advice and support to Course Directors, and senior leaders on all matters related to timetabling process and functions for the Faculty’s educational courses. The role will coordinate and support class registration and management, develop and implement efficient and accurate administrative systems and procedures as well as respond to client queries. Working with the Educational Services Delivery Manager, this role will review the current faculty processes and provide innovative suggestions to better accommodate the range of courses and course requirements.
About You
You will have an exceptional knowledge and expertise in coordinating timetabling for large-scale tertiary education courses, with experience in health courses being an advantage (but not a requirement). Your high attention to detail and scheduling experience will serve you well in this role. Your collaborative approach and focus on process improvement will ensure your success in this role.

Degree or tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience

Extensive knowledge of tertiary education policies, processes and course and degree structures

Experience in providing authoritative advice and information regarding policies within a higher education services setting.

Experience analysing and reporting on complex data and business processes

Experience in scheduling and planning complex requirements.

Ability to build and manage partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders

Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft office and a range of database management systems and applications. Experience using Syllabus plus would be an advantage.
