As a Trainee I&E Designer this is a great opportunity that would suit someone who has some electrical, instrumentation, basic I&E draughting or design experience and would like to further develop their skills. Our preference is that you have attained or be working towards a Certificate or Diploma in Instrument / Electrical Design / Drafting, and will need to demonstrate:

  • Basic experience with the product AutoCAD.
  • Understanding the concepts regarding the preparation of design and detail drawings from sketches, plans or other design / specification data;
  • Manual drafting skills
  • The ability to work within a team environment

You will need a proactive and flexible approach to work, the ability to communicate effectively and a drive to deliver results. If you will know the difference between a Transformer, Resistor and Conductor and can sketch it out, have the qualifications to support your knowledge and a desire to produce quality drawings this may be your career opportunity. Whilst Some draughting knowledge is preferred, it is not essential as on the job training will be provided. You will form a part of a thriving team in our New Plymouth office.
