Thank you for considering employment in the Lunenburg Public Schools.GENERALThe Lunenburg Public Schools seeks to hire MTSS (Massachusetts tiered System of Support) Tutor (s) for a school day support position with a focus on reading and math for our Lunenburg Primary School students Grades 1 and 2 and Turkey Hill Elementary Students grades 3 to 5.Schedules will be developed based upon student needs as determined by assessments but will generally be between the hours of 9:00AM and 3:00PM. Schedules may be adjusted periodically during the school year as data indicates; candidates must be flexible. Instructional programming resources will be provided and are expected to be used as the primary resource for instruction.It is anticipated the tutoring services will be provided to students on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for up to 18.75 hours a week for the school year. RATE OF PAY: $30 per hour for Certified Teachers.

Candidates with some education experience/course work may be considered. $25 per hour for qualified candidates without certification. These positions are grant funded for the 2022-2023 school year.REQUIREMENTExperience teaching phonemic awareness, phonics, reading comprehension, fluency, and writing about reading.Experience teaching number sense, algebraic thinking, and proportional reasoning.Growth mindset and inclusive, builds trusting relationships with students, collaborates and teams with colleaguesFamiliarity planning from assessments, building on strengths, planning targeted instruction, and monitoring progressStrong organizational and self-management skills that seeks to ensure that services are provided START DATE: The start date for services is expected to begin on the first day school for students of the 2022 school year..If any of the positions are vacant beyond this date, the posting will remain open until qualified applicants are found.OTHERHiring is subject to satisfactory CORI and SAFIS background checks per 603 CMR 51.Questions regarding the position can be directed to Deidre McLean, Title I Coordinator/Literacy Specialist
