About the position
The Scots College is an innovative and creative teaching and learning environment for boys T-12. We pride ourselves on our quest for excellence, our faith and tradition and a culture of leadership through teams for both our students and staff.
We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Chaplain to join our progressive Early Learning Centre at our Preparatory School campus in Bellevue Hill. This is a permanent full-time position, ideally to commence as soon as possible.
This important position is responsible for delivering effective teaching and learning programs in Christian Studies within an inclusive and challenging learning environment, along with leading our Chapel and Bible study programs. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for providing our early years students with spiritual guidance, development and welfare in a supportive environment.
Essential to this role
- Qualifications in Education (Christian Studies where possible)
- Experience working with early childhood groups
- Ability to work as part of the Chaplaincy team and to teach Christian Studies to students across all Early Learning Years stages, from 3 to 7 years of age
- Current accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Demonstrated delivery of effective teaching and learning programs, fostering an inclusive and challenging learning environment
- Professional and personal integrity
- Be a confident and collaborative team player and an excellent communicator
