We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior nurse to join us on a part-time, permanent basis as Clinical Nurse Specialist.
About the Role – what’s in it for me?
As a Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will promote the respiratory health of individuals, families and the community across their life span. This position is an exciting opportunity to join a small but dynamic nursing and broader clinical team who are committed to improving the care of patients with respiratory disease on their journey from hospital to home. Facets of this role include direct patient assessment, clinical consultations, formal and informal teaching, participating in quality programs and leadership.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide specialist respiratory nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery and mentoring colleagues. As per the position description you will work across the organisation acting in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, leader/change agent and care coordinator/case manager in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes.
About You
You will have proven clinical credibility, strong group facilitation skills and advanced communication techniques such as conflict resolution, diffusion and mediation skills. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills, in addition to a professional can do attitude in line with our values.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years practice in respiratory nursing, and advanced knowledge and skills so you can really hit the ground running. You will have exceptional communication skills and either hold or be working towards a relevant post graduate qualification.
