About the role
Our Dunedin based on-line vintage and retro fashion store is seeking a permanent part-time eCommerce coordinator. This role is fast-paced with lots of variety. You’ll be working alongside a super fun team in our bricks and mortar shop.
In this role, you will:
- Support the Shop on Carroll’s online store, serving a national and international customer base.
- Bring your vision to help shape a unique online presence for Shop on Carroll.
- Creatively lead the expansion and growth of our online store.
- Manage the overall operations of the online store.
- Ensure effective systems, processes and tools are in place to support online sales and a smooth customer experience.
- Researching new avenues for promotion.
- Shop on Carroll is one of the social enterprises of Presbyterian Support Otago (PSO). All profits from our stores support our social services in Otago, including our Family Works foodbank.
About you
- You’re motivated and driven to help grow our online store.
- Ideally experienced in marketing, photography, eCommerce (particularly Shopify), communication, email marketing + content creation or design.
- Work alongside the wider retail team and help manage volunteers/staff helpers.
- Able to reach targets
Summary of daily tasks
- Photography and uploading of selected stock to be sold on our website.
- Stock inventory, organisation and management
- Packing and preparing orders in a timely manner
- Tracking sales trends and online shop financials
- Customer service and enquiries
- Organising online promotions that align with the store
- Keeping the website looking fresh and updated
- Promotion and marketing of online store, including via Facebook, Instagram, and Mailchimp.

Shop on Carroll in Dunedin is one of PSO’s retail stores, offering quality recycled clothing and collectables, and specialising in retro and vintage.
PSO is a Charitable Trust and a leading provider of aged care, retirement living and social services to the people of Otago and the wider South Island. With over 800 staff and 500 volunteers, we operate a highly regarded network of 8 care homes across Otago and we provide many other community-based social support programmes.
