Seeking an experienced events manager for a short term, hourly rate contract to manage the delivery of a national conference.
About this role:
This role will take responsibility for the overall delivery of an annual national conference scheduled to take place at the end of July 2022. Working as part of a highly motivated team, it will encompass all aspects of event management to ensure the delivery of an event that champions our client’s brand, shows value to members and ensures all attendees, stakeholders have a memorable experience.
In this role you will get to:
- Manage the relationship with a conference logistics provider that has been engaged, to ensure all expectations and timeline are met
- Support and develop a bright, quick to learn Event Coordinator. Help them to grow, learn and enjoy their first conference experience
- Champion our client’s brand in the event build up and on the day delivery
- Ensure delivery of all event communications with attendees, speakers and with internal team members
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager and team members to support the delivery of excellent, engaging event communications.
The right person for this role will be an Event Manager extraordinaire, a person who thrives in event planning, preparation and delivery!

- A knowledge and understanding of working with conference logistics providers
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Superior organisational skills, with attention to details
- Skills mentoring and developing junior events people would be a definite advantage
- Flexibility to juggle the timelines and work hours for the conference planning and on site delivery.
