Who are we?

Not only is water our most precious resource but it’s a hot topic in the Wellington region and nationally.

As a trusted advisor to the region’s Councils, Wellington Water plans and delivers drinking water, wastewater and storm water services from source to sea in partnership with the community, engineering consultants and contractors.


Where you come in

This is a newly created role and will be an integral part of our growing People & Capability Team.

The purpose of this role is to provide high quality coordination services for learning and development including ownership of the Learning Management System, contribution to the development & evaluation of training workshops to ensure the delivery of high-quality learning experiences, reporting and business intelligence in relation to Learning and Development activities.

You’ll be the first point of contact for Wellington Water leaders and staff for all learning and development coordination, administration, scheduling, and tracking of training. You will work with your colleagues to develop blended learning initiatives and plans in support of the company’s workplace and culture aspirations.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience or knowledge in coordinating, administrating a Learning Management System (desirable)
  • Ability to learn the learning and development compliance requirements within the business
  • Savvy IT knowledge is preferable and the use of Microsoft software and tools
  • Relationship management skills- able to build positive rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and effective time management skills
  • Understands the need for confidentiality and discretion when dealing with personal information
  • Strong skills in communication, problem solving and analysing, with a focus on attention to detail with a strong work ethic

You will be an enthusiastic contributor to our team, with an enquiring mind to support the improvements we continue to make to our LMS, training packages and systems
