About the role
We’re looking for a part time Lifeguard based at our Stokes Valley Pool + Fitness facility, working 12 hours per week on a variable roster.
As a Lifeguard, you’ll assist and support the Shift Supervisor on duty to ensure our diverse community are receiving support and encouragement to take part in pool activities as well as making sure that all of our pool facilities are in tip-top shape.
A current Pool Lifeguarding Certificate and First Aid certificate would be a great start, however for the right person training can be provided, as long as you can swim. We’re looking for someone who can think on their feet, ensuring we’re meeting the ever changing needs of our customers. You’ll need to be a team player and great communicator, happy to roll your sleeves up in order to get the job done.
Your lifeguarding or life skills are backed up by your passion to provide our community with exceptional customer service – you’ll be proud to be a part of a team who ensures our community enjoys a clean, fun and above all else, safe pool experience.
We recognise rewarding you is not only about your pay, so we’ve outlined some of the great benefits that may be available to you as an employee of Hutt City Council. Read more about them here: careers.huttcity.govt.nz/your-total-rewards
