We have a vacancy for a Healthcare Assistant to work alongside our District Nurses in the community and clinic setting. This could be an ideal opportunity for someone with an interest in community care, or general admin experience looking for part time hours to work in the evenings and to experience the challenging and constantly changing environment of Community Nursing.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
Under the direction of the senior nurse on shift you will work alongside a District Nurse in the community, undertake some clerical duties, restocking and ordering of supplies and general needs to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Our service is supportive, friendly and is committed to high standards of service. District Nursing is looking to appoint a part time Healthcare Assistant to its evening service ( rostered duties 6-10pm, 4 evenings per fortnight, Monday to Sunday ).

A full clean driver’s licence is essential.

This role belongs to the DHB/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($46,182 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 5 ($53,803 p.a. pro-rata)
