About the role
On behalf of our client, we are on the hunt for a Senior Renewable Energy Design Engineer.
As an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be the leader of a fast-paced group of professionals, providing technical support, technical communication, and mentoring, with a focus on operations, research, and development. Bespoke solutions provided for the Marine, RV, Industrial, Residential, Farming and Traffic Management industries this role is varied and hands on, in a support capacity, which may have you out in the field fault finding or trouble shooting with the install crew.
Project Documentation
- Reviewing designs for solutions based on appropriate standards including safety and project requirements
- Overseeing design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and compliance reporting for bespoke solutions
- Producing, reviewing, and approving technical documentation
- Overseeing design quality systems
Supervision and Mentoring
- Guide the troubleshooting of project installation issues
- Line manage the Engineering and Commissioning Team staff
- Management of technical subcontractors including
Project Management
- Troubleshooting delivered systems
- Coordinate with the engineering team to develop preliminary design and budget
- Liaising with third-party suppliers and providers in the commissioning process
- Attending site inspections throughout the commissioning process
- Preparing and sign off design, testing and commissioning reports
About you
- 4-year degree or equivalent practical experience, Electrical Engineering degree
- 3 + years minimum experience in the solar PV industry designing and implementing solar PV systems.
- Experience and knowledge on the design and construction process of distributed generation, residential and commercial solar PV projects.
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and solar modelling tools, including PvSol Solar plus or similar.
- Experience reading and understanding technical specifications and construction documents
- EWRB registration a must!
